Embark on a unique and personalised pottery journey with our 6-week pottery course in our cosy clay filled studio in Bedminster at Windmill Hill City Farm. Each week you will concentrate on creating a particular ceramic homeware item to enhance your skills and understanding in hand-built pottery.
Week 1 – Advanced Slab-Built Sculptural Vase
Develop more complex slab-built forms using templates, focusing on construction techniques for larger pieces. Explore how to build strong, stable forms and incorporate different attachments and details.
Week 2 – Slab Building: Surface Design & Texture
Continue slab building while exploring a variety of surface decoration techniques. Experiment with carving, impressions, texture and pattern to create unique finishes.
