Beginners Throwing Workshop

Come get your hands dirty in our 2-hour pottery throwing class in Bristol – a relaxed, beginner-friendly introduction to the pottery wheel. Whether you’re completely new to ceramics or looking to brush up your skills, this fun and creative workshop is perfect for learning the basics of wheel throwing with guidance from experienced ceramic artists.

You’ll be guided step-by-step through essential pottery techniques – from centring clay on the wheel to shaping your own pots. Most people make two or three pieces during the session, and we’ll help you choose your favourite to be professionally glazed and kiln-fired (included in the price). Want to keep more? Extra pots can be fired for £5 each.

This Bristol pottery workshop includes everything you need – clay, tools, tuition, and firing. Your finished pot will be ready to collect in around 6 weeks.
