Ready to dive deeper into the world of pottery? Our intensive Wheel Throwing Course is designed for those looking to enhance their skills and confidence with clay. Whether you’re a beginner or seeking to refine your technique, this course provides a comprehensive journey through the essentials of wheel throwing.
Over four engaging sessions, we’ll guide you from the basics to more advanced techniques, covering essential skills like centering, pulling up, and wiring off. This course is designed to study throwing in detail to build your confidence and material knowledge.
Although we will be working on specific outcomes, this course emphasises material knowledge and experimentation to help you build robust skills. Key focus areas include:
- Consistency:
Achieve uniformity in your clay work
- Thickness:
Control the wall thickness of your pottery pieces
- Compression:
Strengthen the structure of your ceramics

6-8:30 each week for 6 sessions. A bonus glazing session will be organised after each course where you can decorate your work.
